胡立阳：如何用三分钟的故事出人头地在二年级班级
很多老师认为自己很努力教书，我会说：“你很努力吗？可是你并没有讲故事讲到嘴巴流血呀。”
我天生乐观，记得小时候跟别人分享故事，讲到上下排牙齿都掉了，同学们都惊讶地看着，可是我依旧很快乐。他们不解地问我为什么？我说：“故事都讲完了，我从今以后就不用再准备新故事了。”
从事教育行业，我们没有摆臭脸的资格，每天都要微笑迎接学生。微笑是会传染的，只要你带着微笑，学生也会对你微笑，气氛就会跟着改变，所以老师要尽可能地微笑，把欢乐传给学生。
煮锅绿豆天天吃
我的第一份工作是在小学当教师，工作起来驾轻就熟，可是我做得并不快乐。我宁可多绕点远路，也不要在一个我不喜欢的地方教书一辈子。亲友听说我离职了，都觉得很不可思议，但我认为如果不能找到适才适性的工作，这辈子绝对不会快乐。科学家会发明东西，艺人会表演唱歌，那是他们的专长，那我的专长是什么？我左思右想，发现我的专长就是小学最不喜欢我的地方——我很爱讲故事。
老板常瞪着我说：“Leon，我是雇你来教学，不是来讲故事的。你可不可以不要讲故事，不要影响别人的学习？”
当我面试新学校时，我告诉每个校方负责招聘的人员I喜欢讲述小短篇小说，他们一听都笑了。再问他除了讲述还有没有其他要求？I说I 不喜欢繁复的行政工作，因此希望行政工作少一点，让能更多时间去创作和分享，还有待遇最好高一点。他认为这3个要求太好笑了，但也有一个校方负责招聘的人员，他非常认真地听，并决定聘请他，因为他相信这个男人能够为他的学校带来新的风潮。
虽然I一直找不到合适的学校，但I始终不愿意妥协直到口袋只剩下27块美金。
同学见I如此落魄，都开玩笑地说：“you don’t need to eat at McDonald’s every day, it will spend your money quickly. I suggest you cook a big pot of green bean soup, have one bowl for breakfast, two bowls for lunch and three bowls for dinner. It will help you last longer.”
So I bought a big bag of green beans and cooked a huge pot of soup. I kept eating it for three or four days.
Lecturing until mouth bleeding
Every time I lecture, my mouth bleeds because my tongue gets cut by the sharp teeth in front. Many teachers think they are working hard but not as much as me when they ask for more salary increase.
When I was applying to many schools, everyone thought it was just a joke that someone would want to be hired just because he loves talking all day long except one school director who took me seriously and asked if those were real requests. He said that he liked the idea of having someone like me on his team.
The director offered me the job right then and there because he wanted someone who could bring excitement into his school.
My experience tells me that whenever faced with an uncertain decision-making situation, go ask some good friends what they think about it. If your friends tell you to turn left while you should turn right or vice versa; if they suggest going east while you should go west; do exactly opposite actions since their suggestions are guaranteed to lead you nowhere in life other than making yourself ordinary like them!
